Super-Kids Preschool Information Sheet
Information for contacting Mrs. Liz:
E-mail: lizandrewsen@gmail.com
Phone: (801) 718-8759
Payment: Due the first day of the month your child comes. $80 per month, or $720 for the year. There is a $30 registration fee to pay at the beginning of the school year to hold your child’s spot. You may pay by check, cash or Venmo (my venmo account is @Liz-Andrewsen)
We do offer a DISCOUNT: $640 if you pay for the whole year in September. (one month off)
Preschool hours: 9:00 to 11:00 am. Every Tuesday and Thursday
Arrival procedure: Please do not park in my driveway because of the danger presented when backing out. Also, please do not park on the opposite side of the street. This creates danger of children running across the street. Park in from of my home and to the West of home. If you are the first to arrive, you may walk your child to the preschool door-don’t knock- just have your child come in.
Pick up procedure: Please do not park in my driveway or on opposite side of the street. Please come in the preschool room to pick up your child. Please do not allow your preschool child to leave the room before you do. Please be on time.
Early arrivals and late departures: The children are to arrive no sooner than 5 minutes early and picked up promptly at the end of preschool. If they arrive earlier than that, the preschool room will be locked. Please call me if you are going to be early or late. (I will need to leave no later than 11:15 to pick up my kindergartener this year, so please be on time)
Dress your child for the weather: Please dress your child appropriately for the weather, coats, sweaters, etc., clothing that requires minimum help from me to button or zip. This procedure will be much safer for your child and more convenient for you.
Toys: Please do not send valuables or toys with your child. They cause conflict between the other children as well as the possibility of them being lost, stolen or broken. If a child brings any toys, we will put them away until the end of preschool.
Backpack: Please send your child with a backpack every day. Write your child’s name on it. Stiff backpacks work better than cloth bags to put papers in.
Label: Please put your child’s name on everything he/she brings to preschool- coat, hats, gloves, book bags, etc.
Birthdays and Summer Substitute Birthdays:
Each child will have the opportunity of bringing treats for his class on or before his birthday. For children with summer birthdays, we will have a substitute birthday in May. I will make a note on your calendar and call you to make arrangements.
Bathroom: Please see that your child goes to the bathroom and receives a drink of water before coming to preschool. (this minimizes interruptions)
Clothing: Please dress your child in clothes you aren’t too fond of. We will be painting, using markers, etc. I will have paint smocks, but that is no guarantee for keeping clothes free of paint or markers.
Show and Tell: This is the day your child is the “special helper”. They may bring an object to show the class and tell about.
Behavior: I will use a green light, yellow light, red light (stop light). Each day the students will begin on the green light. If there is a behavioral problem, they will go to yellow light. If another behavioral problem occurs, they will go to red light. If this happens, I will let you know. If students show excellent behavior, their name will be put on the Super Star!
Parent visits: You are welcome to visit at any time. Just walk in the preschool door (I may put you to work J)
Please no gum!
Calendar: I will send home a calendar the first of each month. Refer to it often. Every Tuesday have your child bring an item that starts with the letter of the day.
Snacks: Occasionally we will have a snack if it ties in with the lesson. Please let me know of any allergies.
